Meet up on arrival and travel to Galle (approx 2hrs) spend the rest of the day at leisure relaxing after your journey.
Over night stay – Galle
After breakfast visit Old Dutch Fort in Galle and explore the fort by foot with your guide in the early hours - The Dutch fort which is a Unesco World Heritage site is the only living ancient city found in the island which exhibits unique Dutch architecture designed to withstand enemies from both sea and land with many monuments and bastions.Later during the day travel to Yala(Approx 3hrs) situated on the southernmost tip of the island – Travel by jeep and enjoy an evening safari at Yala National park, most famed for the elusive Leopard and a variety of wild life including Elephans, deer, sloth bear, wild boar, crocodiles and many varieties of birds.

Venture out by jeep in the early hours for a morning (5.30am) safari at Yala National park. Enjoy a Half day safari and return back to your hotel in time for breakfast. Check out from your hotel in the afternoon and travel to Ella(3.5hrs) with a short stop at Ravana falls. Elle most famed for its cool climate and beautiful scenery is a worthwhile place to visit.

Explore Ella visiting the nearby attractions such as Nine arch bridge built during the British era, mini Adams peak – even though not as challenging as Adams peak is a more relaxing climb where one could witness some magnificent mountain range scenery from the summit. You also have the option of exploring the more challenging Ella rock which needs to be accompanied by a tracker and is not for the easy goer.

After breakfast board the morning train  to Kandy (approx 5hrs) the cultural heart of the island. Arrive in Kandy and check in to your hotel for a change and late afternoon enjoy a city tour along with a visit to the Temple of Tooth most sacred temple found in the island where the Tooth relic of Buddha is preserved – one could witness the crowds of devotees, meditating and reciting “Gatha” or poems in ancient Pali language.

Travel to Sigiriya (approx 2.5hrs) in the morning en route visit the Dambulla Rock Cave Temple - five caves carved out of one rock with manmade partitions, is said to be the largest art gallery found in the ancient world, with paintings and statues of the Buddha which date back centuries, depicting the important events in Buddha’s life
Over night stay – Sigiriya
After breakfast climb the Sigiriya Rock a marvellous creation by the ancient Sinhala King Kashyapa. Witness the view of the kingdom from its summit, the frescos of the maidens of Sigiriya, the water gardens. Travel to Polonnaruwa (approx 1.5hr) the ancient 2nd capitol explore the ruins of the 11century AD city, manmade lakes, palaces, temples, stupa’s and ancient rock carved statues of Buddha. Over night stay – Hotel Sigiriya
After breakfast travel to Anuradhapura ( approx 1.5hrs).Explore the ancient 1st capitol which dates back to the 3rd century B.C, visit some of the most sacred monuments of Buddhism including large monastic complexes,  the sacred Boa tree which is a sapling from the very tree which prince Siddhartha meditated and became enlighted,  largest Stupa found in the island, Kings palace, bathing pools and well preserved refectory
Over night stay – Anuradhapura
Early morning travel to Wilpattu national park(1hr) with packed breakfast  and enjoy a jeep safari at Sri Lankas largest national park – Witness a variety of species including Elephans, Spotted Deer, Sloth Bear and the illusive Leopard. Thereafter travel to Negombo (approx 3.5hrs) a fishing village situated close to the air port. Spend the rest of the day relaxing on the beach

Transfer to the airport for your departure flight back.
