Day 1

Be picked up from your hotel in Colombo/Negombo or on your arrival from the airport in the morning and travel to Sigiriya (approx 3hrs). En route visit the Dambulla Rock Cave Temple – five temple carved out of one rock, which is the largest art gallery found telling the storey of the Buddha. Arrive in Sigiriya and check into your hotel for your over night stay.

Day 2

After an early breakfast climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress –a marvellous creation by the ancient Sinhala King Kashyapa. Witness the view of the kingdom from its summit, the frescoers of the maidens of Sigiriya, the water gardens. Thereafter travel to Kandy (approx 2.5hrs), en route stop over at a herbal and spice garden in Matale. Arrive in Kandy the cultural heart of the island. Check into your hotel for a change and in the evening hours visit the Temple of the Tooth- most sacred temple found in the island. End the day with a cultural dance show(Optional)

Day 3

After breakfast After breakfast visit the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya – the largest botanical garden found in the island .Thereafter enjoy a city tour with a visit to some traditional trades like local batik factory, gem museum, woodcarvings. Travel to Nuwara Eliya (approx 2.5hrs) – the famous hill station renowned for its beautiful scenery, cascading waterfalls and tea plantations ,en route visit a tea factory .

Day 4

After a late breakfast visit the Hakgala Botanical garden – the highest elevated botanical garden found with an array of beautiful flowerers that bloom throughout the year. Return back to your hotel in Colombo/Negombo (approx 4.5hrs) site seeing the beautiful scenery alongside.
