Meet up on arrival and transfer to a hotel in Negombo, a fishing village situated close to The airport – Enjoy a city tour of the old fishing village alog with a lagoon boat ride to witness the wild life found in the area

Travel to Kandy(3hrs) in the early hours with packed breakfast, en route visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to witness the morning feed of the Elephants and watch them enjoy a river bath. Arrive in Kandy and check in to your hotel for a change and in the evening hours visit the Temple of The Tooth – the most sacred temple found in the island where devotees from all over the island gathers to worship the most venerated relic of the Buddha. End the day with a cultural dance show

Visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya in the morning – the largest botanical garden found in the island. Late afternoon enjoy a city tour of Kandy with a drive along the lake side, Kandy is also a prominent location for shopping

After breakfast Travel to Sigiriya(2.5hrs), en route visit the Dambulla rock cave temple – 5 caves carved out of one rock which is considered one of the largest ancient art galleries found in the island dating back to the 1^st Century BC, where paintings and statues of Buddha depicting important events which unfolded with the influence of Buddhism can be witnessed

Visit the Sigiriya Rock Fortress in the early hours – Marvellous creation by the ancient Sinhala King Kashyapa. Witness the view of the kingdom from its summit, the frescoers of the maidens of Sigiriya, the water gardens, etc. Travel to Polonnatuwa(1.5hr) the second capitol, and explore the ancient city which dates back to the 11th century A.D. Large monastic complex of Alahan Pirivena, magnificent large Rankoth vehera or stupa and the most spectacular tooth relic temple of the ancient world the Wata-Dage along with granite rock carved statues of the Rock temple.  Return back to Sigiriya, en route enjoy a jeep safari at Minneriya national park to witness wild Elephant and many species of birds
