Meet up on arrival and transfer to Colombo (approx 1hr) –the commercial capitol of the island. In the afternoon hours enjoy a city tour – Visit some of the monumental places of Colombo by vehicle; The old parliament, Galle face green, Colombo fort, Wolfendhal church, Gangaramaya temple, Independent squire, BMICH and shopping malls

After breakfast travel to Sigiriya(approx 3.5hrs), en route visit the Rock Cave Temple of Dambulla – five temples carved out of one rock with paintings done on Buddhism dating back to the 1^st century BC, panting from generation to generation and donations made by many ancient kings who ruled the island which is considered the largest art gallery of ancient times found in the island . Arrive in Sigiriya and check in to your hotel

After breakfast travel to Polonnaruwa (approx 1hr) –Explore the ancient second capitol dating back to the 10^th Cen AD. Witness the remnants of the palace, Royal bath, Sacred quadrangle where three Tooth relic temples could be seen which were build by the three main Kings of Polonnaruwa, Large stupa Rankoth vehera, Rock temple with Granite rock carved statues of Buddha, Prakrama  reservoir, etc. Have lunch at a local restaurant and trave to Habarana(1hr) and enjoy a jeep safari at Hurulu reserve national park where one could witness herds of wild Elephants, the island largest mammal

Morning visit Sigiriya Rock – built in the 5th century A.D by King Kasyapa is a citadel made in the sky, 600 feet to the top with over 1000 steps Sigiriya is not just a fortress but a citadel of marvellous creation which is believed to be the 8^th wonder of the world. Return back down and travel to Kandy(2.5hrs), Arrive in Kandy and visit the Temple of Tooth – most sacred temple found in the island where the lower left canine tooth of the Buddha which is considered the most venerated relic of Buddhism is located. Kandy the cultural heart of the island is the best place for shopping, with the many cross streets found in the town its best explored by foot avoiding the seeming traffic

After breakfast visit the Royal Botanocal Gardens at Peradeniya – the largest botanical garden found in the island which were the leisure gardens of the Kings in Kandy covering an area of 147 acres with many varieties of plants including a beautiful Orchid garden. Late afternoon travel to Kitulagala (approx 1.5hrs) most famous location for white water rafting
