Meet up on arrival and transfer to Negombo – a fishing village situated close to the air port. Later during the day enjoy a visit to the nearby fish market, Dutch fort and enjoy a lagoon boat ride exploring the areas wildlife

After breakfast Travel to Anuradhapura (approx 3.5hrs) – the ancient 1st capitol which dates back to the 5th century B.C. Late afternoon explore the ruins of the ancient city visiting some of the monumental places which exhibits the great respect and recognition that ancient kings had for Buddhism – Large monasteries providing shelter and education for over four thousand monks, beautiful magnificent man made religious structures, Samadi statue, The largest stupa found in the island Jethawanaramaya where it’s original height was frour hundred feet which would have been the third largest man made structure in the ancient world next to the two pyramids of Egypt, pavilions and bathing pools.
Over night stay –Anuradhapura
After breakfast travel to the East coast of Trincomalee, en route visit Mihintale – the birth place of Buddhism situate close to Anuradhapura – explore the ruins, ancient hospital complex, temples and location where Arahath Mahinda preached the first message of Buddhism in 247BC to king Dewanampiyatissa who embraced the philosophy of Buddhism along with his subjects. Arrive at Nilaweli and spend the rest of the day at leisure

After breakfast visit the bustling town of Trincomalee with a drive to fort Fredrick, the ancient fort built initially by Portuguese, fortified and rebuilt by Dutch and finally by the British, where a part of it is now under the control of the Sri lankan military but open for public. One could also visit the historic Hindu temple Koneswaram – destroyed completely by Portuguese and rebuilt during the later stages.

At leisure on the beach - known to be one of the best beaches in the world, activities such as snorkelling, Whale and Dolphin watching (seasonal) is also available

After breakfast travel to Polonnaruwa (approx 2hrs) – the ancient 2nd capitol dating back to 11th century A.D, explore the ruins of the city – Rock carved statues, large monastic complexes, Rankoth vehera stupa and the sacred quadrangle which houses three Tooth relic temple out of which the “Wata dage” or circular relic temple considered as one of the most beautiful temples in the ancient world could be witnessed. Have lunch at a local restaurant in Polonnaruwa and thereafter enjoy an evening safari at Minneriya national park by jeep – witness herds of Elephants and many species of birds and animals
Over night stay –  Sigiriya
After breakfast explore the Sigiriya Rock – a marvellous creation by the ancient Sinhala King Kashyapa. Witness the view of the kingdom from its summit, the frescos of the maidens of Sigiriya, the water gardens. Travel to Kandy (approx 2.5hrs). Arrive in Kandy and check in to your hotel for a change and visit the Temple of Tooth – the most sacred temple to all Buddhist. Witness devotees from all over the country recite and practice the precepts of the teaching of Buddha, offering of flowers, lighting of oil lamps and incense burning, meditating and reciting “Gatha” as they worship. End the day with a cultural dance show

Board the morning train and enjoy a scenic train ride up to Hatton (2.5hrs) witnessing some beautiful scenery and mountain ranges covered in World famous Ceylon tea. Arrive in Hatton and be transferred to your hotel situated at Norwood / Dikoya. Spend the rest of the day at leisure

Full day at leisure or indulge in some activities organised by the hotel such as a visit to a tea factory, tea tour

After breakfast travel to Yala (5.5hrs), site seeing along the way. Check into your hotel and late afternoon enjoy a park drive at Yala national park – one of the largest parks found in the island where a variety of species including – Elephant, spotted deer, sloth bear, crocodile, wild boar, many species of birds and last but not the least the illusive leopard
Overnight stay - Yala 
Travel to Colombo(3.5hrs) – the commercial capitol of the island with several shopping malls, restaurants, hotels. Best location for some last minute shopping. Enjoy a brief city tour of Colombo visiting some of the monumental and historic locations

Transfer to the airport for your departure flight back
